Fair Suspicions: Short Story (eBook)

$1.50

Eric and Shawn, from Concerned Citizen, are attending a local 19th-century-themed harvest fair, when Eric notices a woman he suspects is up to no good. But Shawn disagrees and seems more interested in eating another hand pie than speculating about the mysterious woman and her notebook. Eric insists she must be scheming up something. Is there really a mystery to solve, or is Eric making a mystery out of a molehill?

While Fair Suspicions is a fictional story, it was inspired by an article written by the author’s daughter, Payton Hunt. Payton’s article entitled “GCV&M Agricultural Fair 2026” was featured as a two-page spread in the Hometown Stories section of the Oatka, Batavia, and Tri-County editions of the October 16, 2026 publication of the Genesee Valley Penny Saver.

GCV&M is an acronym for the Genesee Country Village & Museum, a 19th-century village and museum located in rural Mumford, NY. At 600 acres, it’s the third-largest living history museum in the United States. Much like Eric in the story, the author holds fond memories of GCV&M.
